The School is being run under the non-profit society formed by the ex servicemen of Betul District in 2016 by the name of Ojas Shikshan and Prashikshan Sansthan. The school started in 2017 with a batch of 37 students in class 9th as a boarding school. Students were admitted each year in class 9 and in four years it became a fully operational senior secondary school. In 2023 the school was opened for classes 6th to 8th as day scholars. Presently it has functional classes from 6th to 12th.
The school runs under the patronage and guidance of senior retired Defence Officers and financed by retired defence personal and their families. The primary aim of the school is to provide quality education including physical and mental growth, to children from weaker sections of the society who do not have access to proper guidance and facilities. Their potential, which they have in abundance, is not fully nurtured.
The students of the school have made a mark in all activities including sports, quiz, debating etc at the district level. The school aims to prepare students from these backward areas to join the Defence and Paramilitary forces as officers. Having achieved its primary aim, the school needs to grow and have a greater impact in society.
